Wheels glued to axles today.  Woohoo!
I'll take a pic of the body sitting on the chassis tomorrow when the glue is dry and I can do so without any wheels falling off.

I think I have come up with a way to "do" rivets on the turret.  I have a sconce wheel which produces a row of dints but the existing rivets on the car body are raised so that won't do.  I have figured out I can put dots of superglue on with a blunted pin and I think they will dry to represent the fasteners.  I have done a test run.

If you have an old Revell Contacta glue bottle and needle wash it out and fill it with PVA. Then use the needle to apply mini-drops of the PVA as the rivets perhaps.

I did that with a model boat a long while ago, and it worked fine, but the 'rivets' needed varnishing of course for the marine environment.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Superglue dot rivets are lower than those moulded by Zvezda on the BA3 body but are therefore prolly more accurate.
I need to mark out there locations and then i'll spend some time getting dotty... :o

I put on the superglue dot rivets yesterday and then re-primed the turret today.
The rivets look good despite a variance in size.

That Vickers makes all the difference! Glad to help!

It does indeed.  I'm glad I didn't give in to the urge to equip it with a .50 Cal.  Thanks again.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Agreed, it looks much more British this way.

The plan is (eventually) to diorama it with a Roden Rolls Royce Armoured car and I wanted them both to have the same armament of a 303 Vickers and a Lewis (although the Royce will have a Boys as well).

First colour coat of the camo today.
I'm having a go at a "Caunter" scheme.
This seems to be another of those contentious schemes where every self appointed "expert" on the internet has a different opinion.
Having thoroughly confused myself i've decided to go for something vaguely based on three shades from this Vallejo paint set.
