I've seen much weirder requests be filled on this forum...

I'm considering building some more MiG-27s out of Academy MiG-23 kits, partially because I wasn't happy with how the noses turned out on my last batch.

So I'm just curious if anyone's got a MiG-27 nose cone off a 1/144 Revell or Dragon kit that they could part with?  My original plan was to just fashion one myself and then make a resin copy for future use, but it would be easier to start with one that's kicking around in some other whiffer's spares box.

I'm willing to cover the couple of bucks in postage.
Thanks!

Thanks for the tip Nils.  Actually that clears up something for me.  I've seen those cheapo kits on both eBay and Aliexpress but I've been hesitant to buy them because I'm not quite sure what I'm looking at.  Because they're often branded as "no name" I was wondering if they were some cheap re-mold rip off or something.  That hesitation was compounded by the fact that the MiG-23 kit didn't quite look right.  You pointing out that it's the Trumpeter MiG-23BN made the whole thing make sense.  I'd figured out that the no-name MiG-21 was the same early Trumpeter kit that I have in an Airfix boxing, so now the MiG-23 makes sense as well.

Are these the ones you've ordered as well?  What's the quality like?  Do they actually come in a box or are they just in a plastic bag?
Thanks!

in terms of quality, they are alright for the cost, but the Mig-23 misses the panel lines.
of you want a good Mig-23BN or -27, then the best bet is to mate the forward fuselage of the MiniHobbyModels Mig-23BN with the fuselage of the academy Mig-23 (better detail). i tried that a few years ago and it works quite well, doesnt need that much modification work.

ive ordered these a while back and they come like any other kit, in a box with the sprues sealed in plastic and decals included.
most of my recent 1/144 kits (Su-34, Su-47, F-20, F-111, Mirage F-1...) come from that store, so its reliable
