Found the naval Tornado, originally from britmodeler:

Rather good that, and unless you look at the cockpit and intake area it's pretty difficult to see its 'Tornado-ness'.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

It is very neat and suits the scheme as well

I was musing on what type of wings a Tornado would have if they were fixed ?

IIRC someone here did a CF-105 winged Tornado a while back.

Look up the UKVG the P53 version has a fixed wing which is like an enlarged Jaguar wing which will give you the most likely shape of a fixed wing Tornado

But it's not going to be fixed...............  ;)

What about a reverse swing, >-, a bit like a Su-47 but with swing wings?

Dizzyfugu

Apart from the wings I wonder how air intakes with vertical splitter plates (F-4- or MiG-23-style) would change the look of the Tonka, esp. of the ADV variant? The wing root gloves would have to be extended forward, but I think that the result should look even more sleek and faster!

PR19_Kit

The Tornado in general is ripe for Whiffing really. It's such an odd shape to start with that almost ANYthing improves it.

Making it longer so that MONSTER fin can be shrunk a tad would make it look more 'conventional' for a start.
