Mememememememememememe!  ;D

I too have that C Scale conversion, perhaps we could build them both on the stand and spoof people that they're the first production S&M ones?

its yours Kit.

Well I've been trying to get something new ready for Telford by finishing half-built projects, and everything I've put a paintbrush on has screwed up.... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

So I'll be bringing the Typhoon (which has never been to Telford) and the North-American-Supermarine Sabre, which I've just fixed. I take it the usual limit of two-models per member applies?

I'm off to Halfords and Hobbycraft tonight for some more paints, spray and bottle. Any suggestions for a good quick drying matt black paint that doesn't take years to dry (Xtracrylix!).

Got 5 kit on the go now but only two are likely to make it as finished.

Mossie

Halfords Matt Black.  Similar to their primers, dries very fast and smooth.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Magic, thanks Trevor.

It does. At least at first. depending on how many of us turn up. Plus the usual option to swap models on and off display is always available.
I always hope for the best.

experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Bearing in mind all I'm bringing is Spitfires, you can have the two Rhodesian ones I'm finishing off now.  Muwahahahahaha!

Well I finished my SMW builds last week and even had them packed up and ready to go by weekend. Just got to pack a bag tonight and sort out a repair kit for tomorrow and i'm done

Must admit its been refreshing not to be rushing to finish items, in some cases I miss it, but safer than putting myself under pressure and being prone to making mistakes through rushing or making do.
Ironically one of the planned builds that I started early 2017 and side lined as a shelf queen has actually moved on leaps and bounds this last few days as I built it for fun and without the self inflicted pressure the build ideas that I would normally struggle with just seemed to work, right up to the point I considered getting it to primer stage and bringing it along half finished and it started to go wrong again, so I have wisely put it away to carry on with next week rather than push my luck.

To those going, good luck with the last minute builds, safe journey and see you there

They know, you know. Sentient beings I reckon

Glad you didn't feel any pressure Geoff. Once I decided the High Flyer wasn't going everything felt so more comfortable.

Yep.  If you're not having fun you're doing it wrong.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Well brothers once again I can not be with you, I know that financially I will be better of, but heart and soul I will not be.
I am with you all in spirit.
May your wallets arrive fat and unfit and leave slim and healthy.
Likewise, may your arms become stronger from carrying all the models you ARE going to obtain (buy, swap, trade, or whatever).
Have a great time.

I'm sure we will Jim, but we'll surely miss your august presence.
