- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I'm about 15 miles away now, be there around 8 am, after breakfast etc.

Fellow Whiffers;

I had made arrangements to visit Telford  tomorrow (Sunday) to meet these people with whom I have corresponded elecronically for some years; and to bear gifts of Jaffa cakes and Merlot.   I very much regret that I will now not be able to attend. Madame Rheged will be driving to Carlisle tomorrow with some urgency as her 92 year old father has had another small stroke and her 90 year old mum needs some support.   One of these days, I will meet you and share ideas, Merlot and Twiglets/Jaffa cakes but it won't be this time round.  Enjoy yourselves, impress the discerning, boggle the JMNs  and keep the concept of Whatiffery  in the minds of the general public.

My best wishes to you all Michael (Rheged)

Day one gone........

OH SH%$&! did I realy spend £160 on one resin fire truck!

Yes you better beleave I did!!!!!!!!!!!! Its Effin Huge! As was the price................................

Back to the bad old days for me. The bugget was blown in less than three hours. :banghead:

Oh yeah! Airfix reveal was a 24th scale Hellcat. I think the gathered public was a tad underwelmed.

I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

:o :o :o. Big Oshkosh, big price!  Be a beauty when done though.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

back home and fed
thank you to everyone on the table, I have had a wonderful day, and feel massively refreshed in mind body and soul ( despite those still being the hardest floors ive ever walked on  :banghead:  )
Mrs SP  greeted me with a smile and says to give you all a " thank you" for your kind words to us as well.   And when I mentioned I fell off the wagon and showed her the kit pile, she was more than happy as it meant I had found stuff that id wanted   have I said how much I love her

A splendid day, lots of good models and even better friends, but they really have got to do something about the entrance arrangements.

By 8 am the queue was all the way across the car park and half way down the street with no means of splitting off the 'Members Queue' from the 'Non-Members Queue' apart from some signs which many were studiously ignoring.

Of course the 'Powers that Be' never saw the problem because they were already inside............

Say 'Hi' to Richard and Dave at the Wingnut stand for me. <_<

Their new 1/32 Lanc looks like it'll be quite something.

Telford Day 1:
Entry: got the same time as Kit it seems but followed the flow to the back entry.  Was open and honest with the wristband guys aboout Kitswap, SIG, erc and they were very relaxed about stuff.  On the stand just after 8.

Kitswap: efficient, speedy booking in. 50% sold by the end of day which has paid for the lates whif fodder.

Airfix Hellcat: total surprise to all there at the reveal. Didn't sense the bemusement OGL alludes to.  It is a stonking looking kit that deserves big success.

1/72 Spitfires: one ore two still available despite The Wooksta bing on the prowl all day.

SIG display: some things old, some things new, saw nowt borrowed, some stuff blue.  Pics early next week.
