A splendid day, lots of good models and even better friends, but they really have got to do something about the entrance arrangements.

By 8 am the queue was all the way across the car park and half way down the street with no means of splitting off the 'Members Queue' from the 'Non-Members Queue' apart from some signs which many were studiously ignoring.

Of course the 'Powers that Be' never saw the problem because they were already inside............

In all fairness though, the queue moved pretty fast. There were guys walking down the queue handing out wristband too, so as soon as you got through the doors, you could dive into Hall 2 instead of waiting to go through the desks at Hall 3.

Well I couldn't cut through direct to Hall 2, I had to go right to the end via the mad chicane business.

SIG display: some things old, some things new, saw nowt borrowed, some stuff blue.  Pics early next week.

I borrowed 2 Fairey Ultra Light helicopters from David (63cpe) for the Project Cancelled stand.

Because the SIGs are siblings that's not really borrowing, more refinement of the seating plan  ;)

Hey Kit, remember I said that Airfix Model World magazine were giving away Lancasters as a subscription gift and you didn't believe it? Well they were, but only if you subscribed at the show, which I didn't realise until I got home.... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

You could have a Lancaster B.III, a Lightning F.6 or a 1/48th Spitfire 22/24.

Standard non-show gift is indeed a Tomahawk.

Or you could bide a wee and get the Wingnut 1/32 when it's released...  ;D

Well I could really have done with another modern Airfix Lancaster, given that I've just bought the Nene Lancastrian conversion. Oh well, it's not like they're hard to find... (I mean, I sold three, before I developed a taste for them...)

The Wooksta!

I was quite restrained this year and, despite appearances to the contrary, didn't buy as many Spitfires as in previous years.  Indeed, I even put some back on the shelves in the Kitswap, but mainly as the seller was charging over the odds on closer inspection.

However, I did make it a mission on sunday morning to hoover up all the Heller mk XVIe kits available.  Think I managed it too!

I'll put some highlights up on here. There's no way I can edit all of them (174 pics!) so if anybody's interested in a particular one, give me a shout.

As I've said previously, the Telford show had got too big to see it all in two days.  :banghead:

You managed to see LOADS more models than I did H, but thanks for all the fish pics anyway.

And I didn't even make it to the competition area, which is a shame, judging by Dork's pics, since there was some very interesting stuff there.

I only got that many pics by being fairly ruthless about only photographing whiffs and not getting bogged down in conversations at every stand.
