RR Dart engine?

Does anyone do a 1/72 resin or styrene model of a RR Dart engine?

I don't mean the external cowling, which I could get from an Airfix F-27 or similar, I mean the engine itself, with the compressor, combustion chambers and turbine casing visible.

I cannot help directly, but as a potential alternative: The Mastercraft/Aeroplast/Intech 1:72 "Iskra" trainer kit comes with a small jet engine dummy - which is not visible at all when you build it. It could be a good alternative, and the Iskra kits are dead cheap, with good whiffing potential.

Looking at a picture of it Kit, it doesn't have the burner cans all around it, it looks more like an annular burner type engine.

The Dragon Meteor Mk.1 has two Wellands to use but I think the engine is really twice as big as the Dart.

The Dart has two compressor stages and the seven burner cans are arranged around
the circumference of the engine, they're mounted skewed from the long axis.

The two centrifugal compressor stages make it longer than a Welland/Derwent:
Welland/Derwent diameter is 1090mm, length roughly 2100+-;
Dart is 970mm in dia., length 2400+-.

A Dart mockup could be made from a Welland by adding length to the compressor
case, to duplicate the the two compressor stages along with the annular intake.

That's interesting Jon, the Welland isn't as big in diameter as I thought was.

Hmmmmm, a couple of those might well fit the airframe I'm thinking of and produce enough grunt as well.
