In 1940, the Napier-Heston racer was not successful (with the war and the jet coming), but its double could have been a success. Single seat with two H-24 engines, total 4,900hp...

From me, this is just a drawing, this will not be a model, sorry.

Makes me wonder about a twin Ki-78...?

PR19_Kit

I've got a Merlin Heston-Napier kit, but only one of them.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Yes, the Tsuin-Ken was similar.

Dear PR19Kit, will you build your one for this GB, even as single fuselage?

Hm, I could do maybe, I'll dig it out of The Loft.

But it's a Merlin kit, so I may get it finished by the end of NEXT year..........  ;D

Thanks!

Earlier, there was the Chambers R.11 racer of 1939 (a design required by Mrs Chambers after Mr Chambers died in his R.1 racer, 1938):

As well, the Brown B.3 racer of 1936 gave birth to a twin-fuselage B.33 in 1939:

And the Chester Goon racer of 1938 also gave a Double-Goon in 1939:

And before the Denight DDT racer of 1949 was the (double-size) DT of 1945:

And long after the Gee-Bee Super-Sporster (and the Z-2 of 1933) came in 1939 the Twin-Sporster R-11:

The LeVier Cosmic Wind is a famous racer of 1947, but who knows this is a derivative of the twin-engined Cosmic Twind of 1945?

The Loving-Wayne WR-1 Love, racer of 1950, came from a twin fuselage project (WR-0, certified true in my dreams):

The Rollason Beta was a famous midget racer of 1967 but it was simply a half derivative of the Gamma racer of 1945:
