I'm half way through Mushi's latest collection of short stories - Sex and the Single Cosmonaut by Ishmael A Soledad - it's very good.  Entertaining, thought provoking, laugh out loud and in at least on case perplexing.  Go buy and buy an e-copy now from Amazon and support a local author.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

My pre-ordered copy of 'Typhoon to Typhoon' arrived this evening, on a SUNDAY no less!  :o

It's stuffed with lots of 3 views of weird aeroplanes, perfect fodder for Whiffing and Project Cancelling.

Lots of drawings of exotic weapons too.

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

From that little-known specialist bookstore W.H.Smiths:

Airfix Model World's Scale Modelling Real Space bookazine.

I'd intended to buy this at Telford but then forgot, so I was pleased to get another chance. Nine models builds, including the Glencoe Von Braun 'Retriever' rocket, three background articles with good photos, and a useful kit list. Worth having if you're at all interested in the subjects.

After your posting I found this bookazine in my local Menzies, of all places and promptly bought it. Thanks H.

Some fascinating stuff in there, and even though I've only ever built two space models (Airfix Saturn V and Moon Lander of course...) I could get quite interested in Whiffing some of the stuff featured I the book.

There's at least one amusing howler in the Real Space modelling book: in the Titan IIIc build it describes UDMH fuel as 'Unsympathetic Dimethyl Hydrazine'. Now while I'm sure that many who've worked with the bloody stuff will readily confirm that it's about as far from sympathetic as a chemical can get, the correct name is Unsymetrical Dimethyl Hydrazine... ;D

Received yesterday a KAGERO product, Me 262 in Combat, which is one of those book/decal affairs and ideal for me to do something other than the box options in the various kits I have.

Airfix Jet Provost T.4.  Picked it up for a fiver, one of several starter sets available in Lidl (& Aldi too).

One of those I had to have it in the stash but not sure what to do with it.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Warpaint volume  Vickers Valiant . I've found a copy of SAM publications on Ebay about building the Contrail  Vickers Valiant B.2 Pathfinder in which the said article is opened,  I might be lucky to get a photocopy.
