Simply picked up a few tools and other bits and bobs at Halifax. Great to catch up with everyone though and at least this year I can remember the curry   ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I wanted to go to the Halifax show this year, but a puncture stopped play, and I was 30 miles from home, so couldn't fix it.  :banghead:

I know that I said that I wouldn't buy any new kits this year but this was a bargain the 1/72 vacuum formed A.V. Roe Lincoln, a Contrail Model comes without any landing gear or decals.  Comes with a few extra parts which I'm going to have to research where they go, plus the extended nose for the Mk31 version although the windows are in the wrong way round as the l1/72 scale drawings indicate. There are clear vacuum parts as well although a raid in the spares box for Lancaster and Shackleton parts will be used during the build.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I'm back from the Halifax show via a visit to my sister and a daytrip to HMS Trincomalee at Hartlepool. The old warship was very good to see and being pre-half term, no great crowds in attendance. It was funny when they did the gunnery display and a class of schoolkids started chanting "Fire, fire, fire!!!"

All I bought was a pair of 1/72 Stalwart MK.2 from the gentleman in the suit.

TallEng

Received today, from eBay, not absolute bargains but....
One Revell Hunter FGA.9/Mk58 (makes 8+ in the stash) I feel one can never have enough Hunters
as it was the first issue it comes with all the extras the Swiss saw fit to add
And a Revell Tornado GR.1, (possibly inspired by the Tornado theme build going on) but I really ought to do it real world
as one of the ones I worked on as a young lad
as an aside, definitely worth getting if you want a Tornado for what ever Air Force you have in mind as it comes with all the stuff
you need to build a Normal German Tornado (apart from German Air Force markings) plus all the RAF specific stuff- Boz 101 pod, Sky Shadow pod, Lazer designator,
Normal 1500Ltr drop tanks, 2250Ltr Hindenberger drop tanks, Lazer guided and Normal 1000lb Bombs and Alarm? missiles

The British have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved". Soon though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross". Londoners have not been "A Bit Cross" since the Blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out for three weeks

Arrived today, two unusual kits for me, CMK Boulton Paul P111/111a, and a Pro resin P120. Not knowing exactly how small they were, I was going to arm them with a pair of firestreaks, but I think they are too small. They were to be point defense interceptors, for defending airfields, based in Germany. I will have to have a think about how to arm them, could possibly be unguided rockets.
