Had a bit of a binge lately, as came into some money. Set myself up with a few long-wanted kits.
1/48 Zvezda Yak-130 Mitten
1/48 Skunkmodels HH-60
1/48 Hasegawa Sea-King
1/48 Trumpy Grumman HU-16 Albatross - bought from a friend selling off all of his 1/48. Includes the resin forward fuselage replacement.
1/48 Hobbyboss F-14A Tomcat, to replace one that got destroyed during my house move.
1/48 Revell B-1B Lancer - got this off of Facebook. MIB for £57.00 posted...! Picked up some aftermarket from Hannants for it too.
1/48 Academy F-117 Nighthawk - off of Ebay for £7.00. No box, decals, or instructions. No worries, pretty sure I can manage xD

Also got the 1/35 Tiger Models Combat Boat 90. Beautiful.

Haven't bought any kits in quite some time, too damn poor 'round these parts!  ;D ;D  I did break down and get a pair of these, however:

Won't be in the stash long. As luck would have it, there are some very delicate parts like gun barrels on the helo I'm building so I'm glad these showed up today.

The Wooksta!

Ebay says I've won a collection of four rather old and basic resin kits - by the looks of the photo, they're all 1980s vintage Czechmaster as they look very like Czech moulding.

It comprises:
BP Defiant
Martin Baker MB5
Spitfire mk XII
and I think it's a Heston Phoenix.

Really only bid on it for the Spitfire as it looks to be a rare one I've never seen.  Not sure what I'll do with the Phoenix, but an Army spotter in Korea is a neat idea.

Yeeeeaaaah!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

No extasy, please - don't expect too much in this case.
OOB there are hardly any wings at all on this model, anything added will certainly help. The canards and probably the fins will need changes, too...

Ordered an ARK Models Buran via ebay.

And it's arrived already, a month before its ETA.  ;D

A box arrived from Hannants.

I ordered a 1/72 Lockheed Viking canopy mask (couldn't find one here, honest) and it was obviously scared to travel on it's own as it arrived in the company of a Tamiya Shturmovik and a ModelsVit Bartini Beriev VVA-14 (both also 1/72 natch).  No idea how that happened...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Know what you mean, Fred. It's amazing how fearful plastic model kits are of solo travel & always seem to come in groups.

I have one of those vva-14, part built stuck under my modelling chair. It's been there over a year, as it would not go together properly. The main culprits are the sponsons where they attach to the main hull, and the landing gear is terrible too.
Have fun Fred.
