This lil feller:

Box art stirs some memories from a long time ago
Good ones or bad ones? Lol

Relatively good ones actually. When I built it, it was one of my first forays into what I then considered "exotica". An aircraft from one of the "smaller" European countries during the 1930's.

From ebay...Testors 1/72 F-19 Stealth Fighter.

Is that the one either a U.S. Senator or Representative stood up in the House with and said something along the lines of "is this the secret project we've spent billions of dollars on ?"

Not really a stash item as they will be used soon(ish), on a real world build... ModelMaker 1/72 F-16AM 20 years of F-16 in the PoAF commemorative tail art markings, bought online at Modelismo Total shop here in Portugal.

From Evil-Bay.

1/24 Monogram Ford Thunderbird NASCAR.
Maxwell House Thunderbird by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr
I've had two of this series of NASCAR in the past but used the chassis for kitbashing and traded the bodies.  I will therefore build this one OOB.  Surprisingly the decals look mint but despite that I might invent my own paintjob (legal marijuana maybe?).

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

And there's more...

From Evil-Bay;
Handley Page Hampden by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr

From Hannants;
MiG 21 Analogs by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr
Yak 23UTI by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr
Boy, adding the second seat to the Yak 23 really uglified it...

Hampden box art brings back memories, quite good ones as well. Mind you back in the day I was just glad to see so many new releases and I hadn't yet been spoilt by the choice we have nowadays  :rolleyes:

Whilst on my way to drop off the new bike to be sorted out by a mechanic( at the sellers expense) I called in to Transport models, and didn't buy a kit ;D
Instead I got the following consumables.
Revell precision saw
Length of styrene tube
Medium viscosity cyanoacrylate glue
Two packs of knife blades
Four various sized paint brushes, as I have killed ALL of mine
Alclad semi matt aluminium
Alclad dull aluminium
AK extreme metal jet exhaust
AK black primer and micro filler
One bottle of micro set, which I picked up instead of the liquid decal film by mistake  :banghead: :banghead:
Tamiya gloss and rubber black.
And finally a book on Soviet self propelled anti aircraft artillery.
Also did a sixty mile round trip to do said foray.

Where's Transport Model then? The only one I knew was in Preston.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

It still is Kit, I went through Preston on my way to Poulton le Fylde, where the mechanic is based. I resisted going in to the other room to look at the kits, otherwise it could have got a lot more expensive :o
