I've been eyeing this for a while because it has parts for a custom panel van.

I'm not sure that even a custom job could improve the looks of a Pacer, it's almost beyond saving!  :o
Did any make it over here in the UK,  as the only time I have seen one was on Wheeler Dealers the TV show.

I remember seeing some driving around here in Germany in my childhood. IIRC my father actually liked it, but stuck conservatively to Volkswagen.

I like them.  For me they have something in common with the Austin Allegro.

Pizza restaurants in the US liked Pacers for delivery vehicles. Painted them red and put a plastic stem on the roof and it looked like a tomato.

Received a Hasegawa F-16I Sufa yesterday from Hobbylink Japan. I plan on using the Sufa parts on an F-16XL. First I have to convert the XL to a two seater. Much cutting to be done.

What a coincidence... I received a Hasegawa Sufa a few weeks ago, bought for the same reason although i won't have the cutting work to do as i will be using it with the Lonestar resin conversion for the two seat XL. CFTs and spine will have to be extended but shouldn't be very hard to do.

Friend of mine had an Allegro he re-engined with an 850 mini engine.  It struggled to reach 60mph.  I always fancied going the other way and dropping in something bigger.

Cue Kit telling us about the prototype he worked on with a 1750 Maxi engine... ;D

A couple of friends fitted maxi engines in minis, they were lethal. A friend owns a mini repair and parts company, and he has put hyabusa engines in them, and Honda civic type R engines too.

Yeah, like they were probably faster in reverse than forward!  ;D

The Allegro really DID have a lower drag coefficient in reverse than it did in forward.

And yes, they WERE lethal with a Maxi engine, especially the twin carb one!

Yes, OK, but what the world at large needs to know is what span were the wings ?

Parts fodder kit arrived yesterday, in the form of an Airfix RA-5c in 1/72nd scale.
It's going to be something completely different shall we say.
