Yikes - 500 pieces in the 1/72 Valkyria??!!  :o :o
What, do they make you build every component that's in the real craft?

Joking, I know it's a 'Limited to 500 kits produced' thing, I'm in a funny mood.

You and me both then, my thoughts as well

It's a very interesting looking machine though

I'm glad I'm not the only one...  ;D

And yes, it is.

Ordered an RS Models He 280 (probably to be converted into the highly dubious "He 279" piston-engine variant, which could also have been a mock-up or just a decoy dummy) and a rel. cheap AZ Models Supermarine Seafang, both 1:72.

Gondor

Rescued from the local Postal sorting office an eBay win

1 x 1/72 C Scale AC. 6. Firefly T1/2 - FR1 / Sea Fury T20 converson set

and deliverd by the postie today

1 x 1/72 GRand models COnvair TF-102 Conversion kit for Meng DS-003 / DS-005 Kit

This means I now have several Xtraparts TF-102 conversion will be for my old Hasegawa kits.

GRand Models also do a decal set for the TF-102 which looks very good too.

PR19_Kit

Won't the Xtraparts TF-102 conversion fit the Meng kit then?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

It could well do, however it is far more basic than the modern GRand models conversion which is specifically designed for the more modern Meng kit

Well, I figure I won't be able to retire until I'm 80, what with having to pay off the mortgage, etc. (so, July 2042CE), &, then, if I go into full-time modelling, I should be right to kick the bucket somewhere around 2087CE ... If I don't buy any more kits.

That's my plan: when Death knocks on my door, I'll argue 'but I can't go yet, I still have all these kits to build'

I think there's a few of us with that plan  ;) Plus the "what do you mean I can't take them with me ?"  ;D

TheChronicOne

After a hell of a drought, I finally managed to add a couple more models to my stash. I think these are only the 3rd or 4th since December..

They're something I've been wanting, though, at least! Finally found a couple at price I could live with. The old ratty one up top was $39 free shipping and the bottom, really nice sealed one was $44 free shipping. Seems like no one was touching the bottom one because the picture in the listing was really weird and made it look like it wasn't even an XL kit. I had just watched one go on action for $30 more and it wasn't even sealed. Sometimes it pays to dig a little deeper, I guess...  So.. I now I have three of these. One to build as historic OOB, one to build as a whif, and one to keep as a display for the collecting side of the hobby.
