bought on secondhand sites: 3x Revell Fokker 100

They've all arrived, plus a Revell 1/144 F-15 and some leftovers from a 1/144 Tornado.

TheChronicOne

Sweeeeet. Those F100's are a little difficult to find (at a reasonable price).

Yes. I've been looking for a while, but the only ones available on Ebay were very expensive. So I looked on some German auction sites, and found several at prices low enough to compensate for the higher shipping cost.

Howard, what did you think of Parabellum?  an Aladdin's cave of kits, or claustrophobia inducing ?
the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

From the Big H and Royal Mail another Airfix 1/72 Mitchell, this time the RAF version. Thinking RAF SEAC as a replacement for the SEAC Boston I started ages ago.

My recent additions.
Best part is that I found some GRAIL decal sheets. AirDoc's 1/72 USAFE F-4 Phantom sheets.    Been looking for those for a looooong time. Quite happy with these.

Other kits bought. 1/72. Naturally.  ;)
Academy F-8J Crusader - no plans so far.

Amodel Su-9U Maiden - probably to be whiffed. Two-seater. Might make an interesting RAF all-weather interceptor. Not sure on the missiles yet.

Dragon Su-24M Fencer - The one buzzing some Brit carrier (awesome box-art!) - slated for what-if conversion by getting the wings from the Trumpeter 1/48 Flagon. Will also involve some cutting to get the fuselage to a more Fencer-ish height.

Eduard MiG-21MF Royal Class - 2 kits in the box - real world. Started both. Currently going for a Bulgarian Fishbed and a Cuban bird in Angola.

Eduard MiG-21MF Fighter-Bomber -Profipack. Also real world. Also started. Egyptian bird. With the Soviet Fishbed getting paint (airbrush fighting me like mad!  :banghead:), that's four fantastic Fishbeds on the bench at the moment.

Eduard Spitfire Mk. VIII - Profipack. Real world. Started.

Isradecal F-16I Sufa conversion for Revell's F-16B. Thought these parts might come in handy for some what-if conversion(s).

Modelsvit Su-7BKL Fitter. No plans yet. Might be real world, might get whiffed.

MPM Gloster Meteor T Mk.7 - may get other wings and engines.

Revell Horten Go 229 - definitely whiffed, but no immediate plans yet.

Special Hobby Seafire FR Mk.46 - to be Argentinian.

Special Hobby Vickers Vildebeest Mk.III - real world. Had no interest at all in this type, but the box-art sold it.

Trumpeter Russian T-80BV MBT - one of the quick-build affairs. Looks pretty nice, safe for the ERA tiles on the turret front. They've been simplified into a single "wedge", which looks... stupid. Really, just splitting the single part per side into a top and bottom halve would've increased looks and detail tremendously.

1/35
BlackDog Russian Spetsnaz in Syria No 3 - was cheap. Marked-down previously and with a further discount in an Easter sale. Score!
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Over the last week the postie has left for me Yahu control panels for Do 17z, Hurricane Mk1 & Wildcat (all Airfix 1/72), an Eduard canopy mask for the Airfix Do 17z and PJ productions pilots (civilian and cargo plane sets).

From the sales tables at the Ballarat show;
1/25 AMT 1996 Chevy Blazer.  I got this for the tyres - shave off the script and they make great rear tyres for nostalgia hot rods - but it's a nice kit which builds up into a well detailed model of a rather beige car.
1/24 Mister Craft Alfa Romeo Alfetta.  This is a re-pop of the SMER re-pop of the Merit kit.  Parts were still bagged.  I paid $10.  I had to have it after we had been discussing the Merit kits.  It should build up well but I need to find better wheels.
1/72 Airfix Hannover CL.111
1/72 Airfix Hawker Typhoon (new mould)
1/72 Glencoe Bristol Sycamore

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

That Airfix Hanover brings back pleasant memories  Plus I must admit I think the Yahu instrument panels are probably one of the best, certainly the easiest, after market "improvement" you can use

While passing my local Hobbycraft I had an irresistible urge to enter the place, no idea why. But on seeing the model shelves it became immediately obvious as they had one Revell Hunter and one Airfix B-25 in stock.  ;D

Remembering Chris Narses2's enthusiasm over the B-25 both of the kits are now in The Loft.

Is the RAF Mitchell just a decal change from the USAAC one Chris?

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The Wooksta!

Ebay says I've won the Revell boxing of MPM's Merlin engined Wellington.  I'll be changing the engines to Vultures so it'll be a testbed for the Warwick.

And some Pavla Spitfire canopies, by way of a change.
