...The Karaya Sealion kit was a good price and as for the S.55, what's it like ?

Sea Lion was indeed a bargain.  I have yet to check for warping but it looks OK at first glance.  I haven't opened the S55 bags but it looks finely moulded with excellent detail.  Engines are resin and that wing is huge.  Only possible issue might be cutting out the windows in the hulls if I decide to build the variant which had them.

Cheers mate

I think what I have is the Airwaves nose.  I haven't had a proper look yet.

Looks good Robert.

Thanks, the hold up on it is I'm missing a part of the decals. I've got a number of aftermarket decals but none of them have the large black 'walk-way' one which goes over the air intake ducting. The one I do have is for another F-101 I have on the backburner --

So scan it and print off another one, black prints easily.

Interesting that the Contrail and Sanger vacform 1/72 Avro Lincoln kits are not the same.

Just a couple.

1/72 Amodel Bo-105 CBS-4 - cheap on eBay - may try to put some ATGMs on this one. Kinda like the German PAH-1, but different missiles. TOWs probably. Or HOTs, but mounted differently? Or TRIGAT launchers from a Tiger? May have to nick some sights/sensors from a Tiger kit as well.

1/72 Eduard MiG-21MF Fishbed in Czech service -  Eduard Fishbeds #5 and #67 in my stash.  ;D Boxing comes with two kits, a Czech book on  MiG-21MFs in Czechoslovakian, Czech and Slovakian service and 39 (yes - thirty-nine!) decal options. Both probably to be real world. Probably specials. Leaning towards the options in the box art.

1/72 Zvezda MiG-21bis - bought a couple of weeks ago. Mainly for the pilot figure. No, really. He's my go-to pilot for anything Soviet at the moment. Wanted to clone him in resin. Have converted an Aires Soviet pilots since and may clone him instead. Hmmm, we'll see.

1/100 Revell A-10. Bought to nick the engines from, as I thought I had messed up the engines in previous 1/100-A-10-turned-1/72. Wanted to elongate the engine nacelles to make them less "stubby" (in their proper scale they look alright, but when scale-o-rama'd, they're a bit on the small side). Turns out the original bits weren't hacked-up too badly and may be salvageable after all. Leaving me with another A-10 that can be whiffed. Thought about another scale-o-rama to 1/72. Twin-boom pusher-prop?
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

The postie delivered a parcel from Big H today, and it contained that triple-pack of 1/50 - 1/60 scale Haegawa Japanese gliders that Weaver linked a few days ago.

A VERY ancient kit, but lots of long wings to Whiff with.

There are real-world Bo-105 with TOWs. A quick websearch shows Swedish ones as being the most common.

The Spanish have some with an Rh.202 20mm cannon under the belly.

Of course, you could still do TOW or 20mm and make it a whif by putting it in different markings. There are LOTS of Bo.105 users. How about a Finnish one with Russian AT-6 Spiral missiles?
