A pity the Airfix 72nd Islander is long gone, although examples do turn occasionally - I've found two recently for Willie.  Civil and military releases.

I got one at Telford from an overseas (Dutch?) trade stall who mostly did ships. Wasn't cheap mind you, but it was bearable.

So what happened to the Islander mould ? has it gone missing ?  The one I have can be built civvie or military.

Those are neat little kits. I have the old Phillipines Air Force boxing. Picked it up sealed for a pretty good price. I was happy about that one.

The military one I picked up was twenty notes - Martin would have snapped it up if Willie had baulked at the price.

Think my Islander was £14 IIRC.

I've got one of TSR Joe's AEW noses, so I'll probably put that on it one day. Toss-up between Falkland Islands Defence Force and Belize...

Deco brand Robot Parts kit. Scale? Ermmmm....

Basically, it's a pack of stereotypical cartoon robot arms, legs and aerials for kids to stick into clay robot models. For £2.50, how could I refuse?

and 3 Black tree games Dr who figs, an Ace, the wheelchair bound scientist from the darlek invasion of earth film and one I don't recognise and will have to try to find on the website

Nothing they reissued it in 2006 so the so called lost sprue was replaced, they boxed it with both the Islander and Defender options. It will probably reappear in their classic boxing in the next year or two
