Just received today from a seller in Poland. A Mistercraft SU-22M4 with the photo recon pod. Looks pretty nice in the box. Only thing is the exterior areas of the model parts have a slightly rough texture. I'm sure it's to simulate matte paint. A little super fine sanding will take that down. Engraved panel lines so no problem there. A far better kit than the Hobby crap one I have in the stash.

Jealous.  Is this the one that includes the Blue/Yellow/Red East German scheme?

Gondor tipped me off about a Contrail Warwick on ebay, but indicated he was likely to bid, so I refrained only for a second one to pop up a day or two later.  Game on and for some reason, it's now mine.  Although it's not.  A mate of mine wants one and as he's passed me some very tasty and expensive conversions for next to nowt, it's all his.

Glad it's going to a good home as I had to save the pennies due to needing a hose replaced in the car cooling system so could not bid on them, next time unless Alley Cat bring theirs out in the meantime.... not holding my breath on that one

Won a set of South African Air Force 1950-1958 decals. Hopefully, some of the smallest will work for 1/144 aircraft, but I have a plan for a whiff SAAF camouflage Hunter using the Mirage F-1 style camouflage.

Is this the one you're thinking of? It includes the decals but doesn't mention them in the instructions, strange.

No.  This one.  I found the image googling.  Mistercraft call it the Desert Storm boxing.  I have a Hobbycraft two seater I may finish like this.

If and, more importantly when, Alleycat bring his out, it's likely to be at least £120 and probably more, plus you'll wait for about three months for it despite the money coming out of your account within days.

The most expensive Contrail one will set you back £50 including postage.  It's one of Contrail's later kits, with injection parts and decals, plus lots of spare engines and bits to do any variant.  Quite a comprehensive package and as Neil Gaunt is unwilling to rerelease it - as vacforms don't sell - one thats only going to appreciate in value in the short term.  TBH, I suspect Valom may have a bash at it, but that's just speculation.

Just bought a Big Plane Kits 1/72 737-200 in Canadian North markings. It comes with the 'gravel kit' that is installed on the 737-200s 'up north'

This was at the post office today, I am seriously impressed with this kit ----

Good point about the probable cost of the Alleycat kit but as I said it's as much how much £ I have available when one comes on the market. Thanks for the advice though Lee

Found on my doorstep today in a box marked Hobby Link Japan.

Fujimi 1/24 Borrani wire wheel upgrade set.
Hasegawa 1/12 1979 Kawasaki KH400.  I may build this with an actual working hinge in the middle of the frame (this is a bikers joke).
Hasegawa 1/72 Douglas A-1H Skyraider "US Navy".  I already have the "Vietnam War" boxing of this.  It's the same mould except the Vietnam release has an extra 6 sprues of weapons (including a toilet).  This release has no weapons load, just a single drop tank.  If you want one of these and can find one buy the Vietnam one.  This maybe either RW African or South/Central American.  Or something else altogether.
Tamiya 1/35 Universal Carrier "European Campaign".  This has rubber band tracks  :-\

Master/Mistecraft kits are always a lottery - never take a bet on the box artwork and the decal sheet an/or the painting instructions that come with the kit! I have had cases that none of these matched up (Iskra and MiG-21 kits).

Besides, an 1:72 Zvesda T-34/85 and a HUMA 1:72 Me 309 joined the pile.

All I can say is the kit itself is much, much better than the Hobbycraft kit I have. I'll probably use after market decals anyway so that's no problem.

And the ejection seat at least resembles the Soviet type, not some shapeless lump to stuff under the canopy.

I wouldn't put up with people dumping stuff like that on your doorstep, I'd send it back................  ;)
