An Airways Vac Form 1/72 Britannia is on it's way to me. It will be my second one and both will be converted. One will be a Yukon and the other will be a CL-44 variant

Hasegawa 1/12 1979 Kawasaki KH400.  I may build this with an actual working hinge in the middle of the frame (this is a bikers joke).

Remember to paint it purple...

I've always been attracted to triples and I once nearly bought an almost mint KH250.  I say almost mint because it had a massive dent in one side of the tank.  I reckon someone had restored it, fallen off almost immediately and then sold it in disgust.  Wish i'd bought it.  The GPz 305 I bought instead was a wonderfull bike to ride but would never start unless it was ridden every day.

I had a very tatty Suzuki GT380 triple for a while, bought as panick backup to the 'good' bike (Les Harris Matchless G80 ) that was spending more time in the dealers than my bike shed. The Suzi had an aftermarket three-into-one-expansion-chamber exhaust that robbed it of all top-end. And all bottom-end. And all mid-range...  I eventually part-ex'd it against a much nicer 2nd hand Moto-Guzzi V50 Monza. On my way to the dealers to do the swap, the Suzi's ignition key bounced out of the switch (for the first time ever), vanished down the tank tunnel, and got stuck. So I had to stop by the side of the road and dismantle the damned thing AGAIN, just to get rid of it...

I've ridden a KH400 one time, just to see what it was about (my buddy's bike), I loved the power but wasn't really able to test it's handling properly.
I had a Suzuki GT550 for years, after I had knocked the lower corners off the outer exhaust pipes (just under the foot pegs) I bought a Piper 3into1 expansion pipe for it, loved the sound of that pipe, especially when all the fiberglass muffler stuffing got blown out

I have had a few two strokes  when  I  was in my 20's a Yamaha  RD 350 f2 ypvs , in black and red, that was  fast and  handled pretty well,  5 months later I  got  rid and  bought  a Stan Stevens  tuned RD 500 powervalve, with a full allspeed system  on it. It's sound was intoxicating,  along  with the smell and  20 miles per gallon  fuel range.  Wish I kept that, it was a less popular  red and  black one.  In 2000 I  bought  a 1972 suzuki T250 hustler,  that thing terrified me. I had a tuned  1200 Suzuki bandit at the time,  and  it was sedate  compared.  Crap brakes didn't  do corners and  no engine  breaking.  Marvellous.

My first bike was a Tiger Cub, then I got a '73 Hustler. I replaced the rubber handlebar supports with metal ones and it handled a damn sight better for it. Ferodo brakes were a huge improvement too.
Talking about 2-stroke oil smell, when we went to the Dominican Republic the first time, first thing I noticed when we came out on the terminal at the airport, 2-stroke oil ---- they have hundreds of motorcycle taxis down there, conchos they call them, mostly 125 Yamaha singles

I've got an AiM CL-44D conversion coming from Hannants (to be used with one of my Airways Vac Form Britannias), plus a couple of North American FJ Fury decal sheets which will be used in one of my theme builds.
