You're right, as were the other gents. I'm just one not to be bothered with making waves. I feel a bit like I lowballed the guy and contributed somewhat.    Asked $30, I said $25.   And with that, even for the old tool, $25 isn't a crime so I'm cool.  ;D  (free shipping) It's still his fault, I know, but I'm not going to sweat it.

Hey bud, on that note, have you made any eBay or even general online purchases recently? On eBay I am now being charged Oklahoma state tax. Passed last year I think, but not like we got to vote on it!  ;D

New in my stash: Both the thin and the gel CA!  <_<

This is why I'm likely to not do anything about it. I'm going to leave good feed back because I don't believe a persons 100% rating should be destroyed by such a thing... a one time deal that is not entierly any one persons fault. Then, in private, I will send him a note letting him know that the packaging was inadequate. No harm, no foul. This is an ultra rare occassion anyway.... I can say that the USPS, in my experience, has about a 99% success rate. Over all the decades I can count on one hand the number of mashes wares and one miss-delivered package that went across the street. I don't get why so many people bag on the USPS, I think they're great.

What I do is have a scan through the sender's feedback. If there are no other complaints about their behavior, then I put the problem I had with them down to random chance and give them positive feedback. If there's clearly a pattern of bad behaviour though, then they deserve, in fact need, to hear about it.

Same here, and one reason why I don't want to make waves. He has a flawless 100% feeback over hundreds of transactions. Would be a shame to ding that. The box will magically not repair and the price of a replacement won't suddenly drop by $50 so I'll choose another battle another day.

Oh boy, I can't wait to see what you do with these Nils. The 747-100 is a reissue, right?  Let me know if you need Yamato Airlines decals.  I have some good 1/300 scale ones that I scaled up.
Thanks!

Not a kit but bought  to help me out  with my RAF  builds. Images of war  book, The royal air force in the cold war 1950-1970. Lots of  nice  colour pictures of  the aircraft  and everything involved  with them on the ground,  including  the early ICBM 's.  I  shall have my bonce stuck in this for  a while.

This came over from Merry ol' England. There's an outfit over there that are selling new kits for cheap and shipping them free. Not sure how they do it but whatever. $34.49 for this one.   BEAR minimum of packaging but it's better than shipping labels and stamps directly on the kit box.

Feels a bit kinky having this delivered by USPS.

I'm amazed they even let Revell make the thing!  :o

Time was when UPS wouldn't let modellers or photogs anywhere near their sites or aircraft, and they tried to sue one guy who did various UPS decal sheets as well. (I've got them all..........  ;))

Man, I honestly don't get it. It's basically free advertising. Oh well, I grabbed this up while it was relatively inexpensive and before they change their minds or something.. cat's already out of the bag on this one but if this winds up being "it," then it could potentially be scarce some day. Buuuuuuut in a perfect world... perhaps we'll start seeing more UPS stuff?

I have all the stuff I need for both old and new school USPS liveries on 727-100 and 200 series.

Now I need a FEDEX MD-11. I guess I need a DHL DC-8, too.

MD-11? I've got a couple of them, one's a lovely Welsh Models vacform/resin one, and the other's an injection from, er, um. Can't remember.  :banghead: Eastern Express maybe? It's not bad at all though.

The DC8's no contest, the Minicraft -63/73 is the way to go, it's a superb moulding and if you get the 'plastic bag' version rather than the more expensive (go figure...) boxed version you get both sets of engines too!
