I remember that glorious beast!!

I have one of those 73 kits, Southern Air.... the CIA bird. I'm going to build it like it is, though, so I'll need another to do the DHL jive. You nailed the injected MD-11.... Eastern Express!!  They go for NUTTY prices though. I'm going to snag one eventually but it won't be for no damn $60 and shipping to boot. I saw one the other day that came with after market FedEx transfers and it had a bunch of already assembled and painted parts..... someone's given-up on project and even it, in auction, wound up in the same price range.  ;D

Sometimes I get the strange idea of becoming an online retailer for this type of thing. Problem is, I don't know how many other people in the U.S. are like me and want some boring cargo airliner (or whatever) from Eastern Europe. Plus, it's a lot of work but if I could get a system going and find a market.......  . . ...    naaaaahhhh, I'll stick to landscaping and picking up garbage.  ;D

This came over from Merry ol' England. There's an outfit over there that are selling new kits for cheap and shipping them free. Not sure how they do it but whatever. $34.49 for this one.

Now that seems very philanthropic to say the least. I can only think of one reason why they should do it, but then again I've always had a suspicious mind.

Meanwhile not a stash increase but it does increase the paint cache.

Hataka WWII Dutch AF Paint Set. 6 colours to produce that rather unique Dutch scheme from the late 30's through to 1940, and in Wif world a little bit later

Thanks for pointing it out to me Geoff
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Jeepers, I'm amazed they're that pricey over there!  :o

I picked mine up at last year's MK Show and it was a lot cheaper than the Welsh Models vacform, maybe £25 or so. I'll keep an eye out over here and see if I can find another one, AFAIK it's the only hard plastic 1/144 MD11 there is.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

You got a URL for these philanthropic model sellers Brad C?  I'd like to see if they will extend their free postage to 'straya.

Next one I might pick up, the Handley Page Victor K Mk2 for $30 and free shipping....   https://www.ebay.com/itm/Handley-Page-Victor-K-Mk-2-Plane-Level-5-Revell-Model-Kit/202422456465?hash=item2f21519091:g:67oAAOSwDcpbO0sQ

There's some deals to be had up in there!

Might pick up some others too even though I already have them.... 787 dreamliner for $21 shipped free.... A-380 for $32, 727-100 for $12 etc.

Hell yeah, look around.

There's also Mikro Mir but I have a suspicion that they're the same moulds...... According to scalemates, they're seperate but I think they both came out in the same year which seems mighty convenient.

Given the option I've always preferred EE (simply because I know EE makes tons of stuff and has to be getting better over time...)  but it doesn't matter, first one of these I spot for $30 or less I'll be getting no matter the manufacturer. Such is life on a budget.

a couple of friends came over last night, and very kindly brought me a 1:48 KV big turret  ( that's already got a "plan" for it, the groups tank from the Manga, Grey)   and a 1:35 M113A2 with interior,  which will be a pleasure build

Oh, I want to see that.  A couple of weeks ago I re-read part of the Grey manga for the first time in 20 years.  It's a classic.
Thanks!

Hobby Boss?
I've built their KV1 which shares the bottom parts.  It builds up OK.

Zenrat  yup its the Hobby Boss one, and that's a nice thing to hear
Strobez, yep a classic manga, the animae is excellent as well, its still manages to get the story across, has some of the best lines, and scenes, and you still finish not knowing if the people, troopers, and citizens, have a future or not

Sure do. https://www.ebay.com/usr/shop_us_store?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2754    That's the storefront or whatever.

Does not ship to Australia.

Oh well.  C'est la vie.

And now they apparently have nothing to sell at all. Hmmm....

That could be Evil-Bay not showing you anything because it can tell you are in the UK and they only sell to the US.

Possible: I deliberately didn't sign in, but it could still have detected my IP address.

EDIT: yes, it MUST have done that because it's giving me 'recently viewed items'. Beginning to think about getting a VPN for a variety of reasons... Hmmm....
