The postie delivered a HUUUGE box t'other day containing a pair of Ventura Spitfires I'd won on ebay.  Given the size of the box, I could have fitted at least another ten but quite possibly more given my tesselation skills.  The kits in question are the HF.VII and a PR.XI.

And now ebay tells me I've won this package:

Now, the Eduard kit isn't an Eduard kit - it's their repackaging of the Aeroteam Spitfire F21 (itself a clone of the 1996 CMK kit) with new decals, resin and etch from 1998 - and I'm not particularly interested in that as it's an awful build.  No, I'm more interested in the two built ones at the top right.  Now, if I'm right and judging by the colour of some of the resin bits in the box I'm sure of it, then these are the Airkit Spitfire F21 and F22.  I have quite a few of the former but not so many of the latter, so I'm quite happy to have managed to acquire one or two more.

The built up camouflaged one appears to be a mk XII, but until I get it, I'm not going to comment on it's parentage.  There's been at least three full kits of the type done (although I've had about five different kits through my hands) plus several conversions out there, of which I've had about four.

Also in the box is what appears to be a SAM resin conversion to turn the Academy 14 into a 21, but I'll just use them for spares as I detest the Academy 14 with a passion you can barely dream of, and a Pegasus Spitfire 22 wing.  That may end up on a mk VIII to do one of the prototypes that was planned but never built.  There's also what I think is a PM Spitfire Vc wing, but that's being binned as useless, although on reflection it could be used as part of a Supermarine Type 325 scratchbodge.  Looks to be a Hasegawa mk VIII sprue in there too.

I suspect there's more in the package but that's the only photo.  Really looking forward to getting this one!

After  considering  whether or not to get  a hunter for my current build theme,  I have ended up  purchasing  three. Two off Ebay  and one  via a seller on Facebook.  I have  bought  the airfix  fga9 one  i built  as a kid, a zts f6, which  I  think is a frog repop, an3 another one  from my childhood,  the matchbox  T7 that has the front  end to do a single  seater too....oops.

After an eon these arrived. I say eon, I ordered it over a month ago but by golly it showed up on the first day of the estimated delivery date envelope. So, in that regard; not bad!

All the way from Russia. Both of these came with PE extras, masks, and the 700 came with one of those pushback tugs in 1/144 made of resin. It's beautifully molded...  I've never seen such a finely moulded piece of resin. I don't think I'll have to do ANY sanding or anything unless it's my own fault for messing up the paint. If anyone wants a pic, I can take one of that but I got lazy and skipped it.

Yes, more boring airliner junk and more boring still being these freakish versions of the Tin Mouse 737. BUT, I think they're really neat!!

Looks very promising Brad, but of course you can't do anything to that Max 8 until they've solved the software problem..............  ;D ;D ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Almost forgot to  mention  from our very own Gondor, a 72nd scale  r511 missile,  now I can  have a  pair on my Nord Griffon.  I need  to get  the paint  fixed on this and decal it up in RAF  decals.

In Calgary on business today, which took me very close to a LMS I used to frequent a lot until we moved out into the countryside. So I dropped in just to say hi and have a look around and as I've been looking for a couple or more Airfix Sabre Mk.4's or F-86E's. But they didn't have any --- but they did have a couple of Academy kits on the shelf. One was a 1/72 F-86F going for C$25.00 and the other was an F-86E for C$30.00, but the bonus with this kit was it came with a 1/72 P-47 Thunderbolt. It was duly bought as I couldn't resist. The kit is the double 'Gabreski' kit of aircraft he flew in combat.

You'll probably find that 737-8 MAX box tends to dive to the floor at every opportunity...
