Just  got another  kit from Dadlamassu's stash reduction.  A revell  Fairey  Rotordyne.  Very  nice  looking  kit and has tons of whiff potential.  I am thinking of  having  it as an RAF transport  in the early 60's.  I am pondering  whether to  remov3 the rip jets from the rotors,  and put a pair of engines at the base of the rotor  mast, or build in a single  turbine  engine,  I  should  have some  bits thatwill do the job.

If you do that you'll need to make some arrangements for an anti-torque rotor or exhaust as a direct shaft drive to the main rotor that large will give LOTS of torque.
Thankyou for the heads up on that Kit, it didn't  cross my mind  about  the torque  reaction.  I am thinking  of building it standard  now  as another idea,  and  painting it in  middle east  RAF colours.  I  need to  find  some  decent  pictures,  as some  had white on rhe upper surfaces  and  desert yellow / earthy  brown  camouflage on the sides,  no3 seen the underside  yet though.

How about Corellian Highway Patrol (CHiPs)?

Or something like this (seen at model expo 2011)?

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I love CHiPs. I keep hoping to see it on one of my streaming services some day.

Yup will do, Howard's warned me as well. That's what I like about this community of ours

Just purchased yesterday, all 1/144:

1x F-Toys Canadair Sabre Mk.4, RAF Camo
1x F-Toys Canadair Sabre Mk.4, RCAF Snowbirds
1x F-Toys MiG-17F Fresco, Egyptian AF

Snowbirds Sabre is going to get stripped and repainted, thinking RNZAF. Egyptian AF Fresco is getting paint added and whiffed to some AF. And the RAF Sabre will most likely end up USAF, 50/50 RW/Whiff.

I didn't win the 1/72 Blackbird Avro Lincoln conversion set on eBay as the seller withdrew his offer and has relisted the item at a higher price  :banghead:

Gondor

Picked up an eBay win on the way home

1 x 1/72 Airfix F-4 Phantom FGR.2

Let me know what you use to strip the paint.  F-Toys pain jobs can be somewhat difficult to get off in my experience...
Thanks!

I was told an overnight (12ish hours) in Isopropyl alcohol usually does the trick.

Just ordered a Roden 1:144 Boeing 720 - hopefully it arrives soon, since it will become the basis for a final "More or less engines" GB entry.

Heller Potez 540.

Mould dates from '72 and the fuselage is in four parts - sides top and bottom - but look at it, it's the epitome of 30's aviation.  Lovely.

That looks as if the engines were afterthoughts!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

That's a pig mate. I wouldn't dream of doing something like that.

I really do like these French 1930's jobs, they sum the era up perfectly to me.

I can see that as a 4 engined type in a push/pull configuration.
