1/25 Revell 1957 Chevy Bel Air

 I have a sneaky plan for this involving the use of SAC starred sash bands and either wing or command badges.

I like the sound of that!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Two more additions to the RAF stash arrived  this afternoon.  One  was actually  used by the RAF  the other definitely not  ;D 1975 boxing  of the airfix  Bristol  192 Belvedere,  this could  be done  in a middle east  scheme.  Other kit is a Hella Saab Draken J-35F/RF-35/TF-35. Can't see any  date of manufacture on it but  it loks old. This will get an FGR designation and be a possible  Hunter  replacement.

That would work well. I did a Draken in desert pink some years ago but it did not survive.

Over the years Kit I have seen a few photos of US cars that have had custom paint jobs (US Navy Squadrons usually)  but can I find them now, no. SAC seems like a perfectly acceptable alternative.  ;)

Just the thing to tart up/replace the most glaringly obvious and hardest to replicate bits of the Tamiya kit.
(yes the AFV kit is far nicer, but I'm using what I already have so I don't have a spare I'll never use)

I was thinking of that set just last night, if I go further with my RAAF Tornado idea!

I just have had ideas revolving around Tornadoes, most of them involve them being USAF, RNZAF or RCAF.

I've built the single seat Junkers and it's a nice little kit. Mind you she is so small that I've not been able to get my brain around a trainer version let alone the night fighter, but it does look good  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I went to the Aviation Megastore today...

New Ware Diamant B
New Ware Diamant BP4
New Ware Space Shuttle detail set
F-RSIN Airbus A300-600
plus some books...

The Wooksta!

Ebay tells me I've won one of the two trios of Heller Spitfire 16s I was bidding on, along with some Spitfire decals.

Had a look at the new Airfix Brick at the LHS and wasn't impressed with the breakdown - are they trying to make their kits as complex as possible?  I'll stick with the old one, thanks.

Good mail day today! The cat jets I've had a few days already but the other 2 showed up today.

New addition the "sword" collection. I also have Sabre, Cutlass, and uhhh....   uhhh.... well, maybe that's it? What other sword jets where there?

Does it come with little miniature bundles of heroin or some agent orange residue? This is the LAST thing I needed for the USAF Thunderbirds collection. I may still need the decal sheet for it, I can't remember, but this is definitely it for the actual aircraft. This has been a task that has taken a fair amount of time and this thing here is the reason why....they are hard to find for cheap but I eventually got tired of waiting and paid the $60 plus tax.

I don't think those are swords, though?  ;D  Scimitars, Cutlasses, and Sabres are swords but I've never heard of a Harrier sword!

EDIT: Oh wait, I get it... SWORD........ model kits! ha!!  ;D ;D   That flew right over me head...  I only have one of those, a 1/48 T-38 Talon. I've been searching for the the same in 1/72 for a couple years now....   :banghead:
