Now this is an awesome idea! I had never thought of a delta wing A-7. It may be too late in your build but there is as the fuselage stretch that was trialed in the A-7F prototype. About 1.5 feet before and after the wing to allow for an F100 engine. I haven't looked into this in years so my recollection may be off. Just my 2 cents worth. This will be cool either way.

Wouldn't a stretched SLUF be a Crusader?

That would be an interesting idea.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I did a sketch putting Draaken wings on a Hunter ... it looks really good, IMHO!  :)

And how about swapping them, with the Hunter wings on the Draken?

Yeah - at the rear, with canards forward.

That's a different GB - "Britished Swedish Aircraft".  ;)  Although, since the proposed GB is "Swedished British Aircraft" it could be an adjunct GB where you could do either or both sides of the coin, so to speak ... since we're going to have odd remnant wings & fuselages littering the place, an' all.  ;)

If you really want to open it up, make the second word "Foreign" - as in, 'not the lead country's aircraft'.  One could pretty much do the same for all genres - I'd love to see an M-1 "S" tank.  :D

A bit more progress

Canards on and primered. It's sitting on the top of a candy-filled plastic dreedle I found at my local supermarket. I really bought it for the plastic shape (to my wife's annoyance, I collect such things and save them because I never know when I might need that shape for a scratch-build) but the candy was nice, too. :)

This is interesting, I will be watching what you do with this. The kit lived in my stash for over ten years , it's good to see if being put to good use.
