So my girlfriend is a lifelong Scooby Doo fan (and before anyone asks, she waved goodbye to her 30s more than a couple of years ago and is not a 12 year old).  As a fun gag gift for Christmas I got her a Polar Lights Scooby Too Mystery Machine model.  Our plan has been for her to put it together on a cold rainy day so we can both build models together.

Well today in NC it's been a damp, cloudy 38 degrees, so we settled in for a day of Peaky Blinders and modeling.  She seemed to enjoy it, but said it will likely be her first AND last model, but while I was fashioning a fin top EW pod for a Tornado Wild Weasel, she put together this little beauty.

She's looking forward to putting it on display on her desk at work tomorrow!
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Nice one.

Don't know that there's much more Scooby Doo stuff out there, but see if you can draw her attention, without pushing, to models related to some other franchise she likes...

EDIT: there's this figure set, if she fancies a purely painting exercise...

And you would have finished it if it wasn't for those meddling kids!  ;D

Nice work, hope she found it fun enough to have another go at some stage.

Maybe you could find her a kit of her car? Or her dream car?

BTW, there are some more figures here, from Hasslefree Miniatures:

Or, in a more Militant style (for when they get sick and tired of all that running away from what turns out to be Old Man Wilson In A Scary Mask):

Though the cost of one Hasslefree figure will get you the whloe Elheim gang... your/her choice...

Van looks good.

i built the Scooby Van as a house warming present for my niece.  I polished the kit plastic and it came out well.  I've got another to do for my own modest Scooby Doo collection.

...and this is my Hasslefree Velma - I have painted the rest but seem to have no pics of them.  But then Velma always was my favourite.

Fred/Barney appears to be sport'n a little something in the first pic. Was he standing a little too close to the girls earlier?

Couldn't possibly comment... though he did always seem to send Shaggy and Scooby off together...  :o

@AeroplaneDriver: Even if she only builds one, mate, it's 100% better than none - & she did a good job of it, too.

Hey, I didn't know zenrat was a Figure-Maker?!

Well, it's the kind of thing I'd expect from him... with the greatest respect, of course...

I've always had a keen interest in the Platypus - one of natures Whiffs.
I can spend hours in the dark in the Platypus room at Healesville Sanctuary watching them swimming around underwater in their tank.
