Not sure about the Wyvern bottles, but the Academy ones are 12mm long and 3.5mm in diameter

EDIT: Just found a photo of a Meteor fitted with six of the bottles like the Academy kit ones. (page 98 Aerofax, Gloster Meteor)

Thankyou Robert, I may end up scratch building some if I can't get any by other means, as I don't really have any use for two f-84's

Thorvic has just pointed me in the direction of some suitable resin ones on hannants website, I had to buy several sets to spend over their threshold, but that means I have some for several other projects

Use a couple of Bloodhound boosters as the launch rockets?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I have an unopened kit of that in my stash somewhere, I could perhaps copy/scratch build some like that I suppose, but the ones Thorvic pointed me at should do the trick. I could use the boosters on another project that is festering in my grey matter, something a lot bigger.

One of the kits has a spare fuselage and three sets of wings, I am thinking perhaps a royal navy version, as they were supposed to get the sr 177 wasn't they? I can scratch build an arrestor hook a put a beefier front landing gear on it. It would be small enough to stow on an aircraft carrier.

They were due to, yes
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

If I can get enough bits together to build another one, I will do it as a naval version. I will need to source some small decals for it too, and look at colour schemes.

Try 1/144th scale decal sheets. Lots of that stuff about at the moment.
