On the topic http://www.whatifmodelers.com/forum//index...opic=4539&st=15 our dear I.m.w.f.o. turned my blurred project of a Twin-Whirlwind into a precise machine (Mk 1? - single-seat with linked tailplanes), and I imagined a crazier asymmetric version (Mk 2). Before modelling one or the other, I have just tried with PhotoPaint (Canadian PhotoShop) and that made as first try a Mk 3 – two-seater with 2 separate tails, illustrated here...
(the Whirlwind model source being http://distk.hp.infoseek.co.jp/kani/Whirlwind.htm )
Thanks for all... :)

I have also received from my Belgian best friend a drawing made several years ago, before the Mk 1, and that could be a Mk Zero, but with its floats, it was called ,,imaginative 3-engined Sea-Whirlwind". So nice...
Note the 2 cockpits, mentioned as very-needed on a 3-engine so large aircraft, and the short tailplane outside the fins. The floats would come from a British seaplane, maybe a float-Spitfire...

To complete the gallery, I post again the Westland/Imwfo Mk 1:

On the same topic http://www.whatifmodelers.com/forum//index...opic=4539&st=15 Aircav suggested a Twin-hulled Catalina, and I.m.w.f.o. said he had such a project too. Well, before all that comes to life, I have imagined with Corel Draw (and Corel Ocr-trace for vectorizing) a 3-engine version with close fuselages, I understand that a 4 engine version would be more stable on water and with less drag due to airflow interference (Evan explained that at http://www.whatifmodelers.com/forum//index...?showtopic=4287 ). Yes, but what-if...?

Looking good tophe, the fuselage on the Catalina's are a lot closer than I imagined they would be I wonder what a four engined version would look like but with a tail like on the bronco    ;)

Yes, a double T-tail especially for you, T-Tail John... :)
And from your Morsair topic, my first try of a Twin-Corsair with straight wing and tiny propeller...
Thanks again and again... :)

Uh, Captain, don't forget that I am not a good soldier for the army, I am a what-ifer... rejected from the military draft for psychiatric "problems".
My intention is to build a pleasant dream, not a real weapon at all. I have discarded the Catalina's bombs, for instance, sorry... And for the Twin-Corsair below, "improved" in my way, I have removed the guns.
Yes, Hitler had to be killed   :( , but there is no Hitler anymore - in my dreams I mean :)
