Sorry, I'm just now catching up:  A single tail P-38?????

...wheels are turning, my mind is churning....

;)

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

My Bf-109Z is nearly done. Only need to sand the tail now.

At http://www.secretprojects.co.uk/forum/inde...hp?topic=791.15 was presented a Campini project of 1940 with twin motoreattori, "wingspan 18,8 m, max speed 1050 km/h? the motoreattori were to be driven by 1350 HP engines". :)
Obviously, this simple bimotore (below left) had to be turned bifusoliera trimotore (below right)...

Oh thanks.

When I try this I did not decide shape and position of engine coolers and compressors. IMHO this is a difficult point.

Now I am waiting for your rendition

A veiw from the side

Dark marks the P-38 parts. Light grey marks the mosquito parts. Top of mosquito fuselage has been cut down to fit onto the P-38. If you use the mosquito engines, or perhaps even spitfire or mustang engines (the front end), you wont need to add the radiators.

Edit: The underside of the P-38, at the aft wheel bay, it has been deepened out to make a clean fit.

The Airfix Mosquito and P-38 are quite cheap, and so is the academy P-38. You can use the sprues to fill in the gaps.

Thaks a lot  :)  :)
But I would prefer the original engines: they are so cool  B) Perhaps prolonging bnacelles aft wing trailing edges.
