It's not the winning, it's the taking part...

Yes, of course. But the cash prize, global fame and dancing girls for the winners brings out my competitive side.  ;D

;D ;D

I'd like to apologise for my comment.  It seems entirely too serious and in no way facetious.  Please forgive me, I must have been tired.

I've given up dancing girls.  My knees can't take it anymore.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I thought you were pining for something ?  ;)

Well unfortunately, no dancing girls in this update  :-\

But I do have the cockpit almost ready for painting. Some parts from the spares box, some scratch building and some 3D printing. I repositioned the limbs and heads of the pilot figures, I'm not entirely happy with them, but they'll be good enough. I've given up on the positionable ramp and interior.

Looks good

For a project of mine, I bought a set of these figures from PJ productions

If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Wow, very impressed with the 3-D printing of the fuselage.  Nice work.

Thanks for the tip!  I have two on order now, hopefully they'll get here in a timely manner.

Thanks! I'm still wrapping this one in a vacuformed shell but soon I hope to see if I can just use the 3D print (cleaned up, of course) as the final model.

The PJ figures are really nice as is the man himself. Always has time for a chat from behind his stand at Telford

Slow and steady progress is being made. I received my PJ pilot figures, I like them more than the ones I was using, thanks again for the tip kitnut!

I'm currently in the process of skinning the QTR with the vacuformed pieces. I'm ready to paint the cockpit and working on the landing gear bays.

Whatever you do for a day job, you're in the wrong one, unless it's prototype modelling.......  :o :o :o :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I wish I could do this as my day job, but alas it's more of a personal obsession!
