The Rafale is such a pretty plane, it's a pity the French & Dassault screwed themselves over so royally with the marketing of it. :-\
Has a life outside of What-If & wishes it would stop interfering!

I must admit I don't find the Rafale a particularly attractive looking aeroplane. I can't work out why but there's something about the nose forward of the windscreen that just doesn't seem to "do it" for me ?

None the less I am looking forward to seeing this

Have a good weekend Ian

Ahhh, haaaaa !

Three or possibly four coats of Tamiya acrylic white and my own red/orange mix - so now you can see what I have in-mind. As ever all questions comments and outrage welcomed.

Have a great weekend all.

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

It does seem to dwindle away to nothing very quickly, doesn't it? Like one of the Tornado variants. Maybe if the nose was a bit longer or fatter (or both) forward of the cockpit?

Nice work there, Ian.

Thank you all, yep Edwards 'Chase Plane'. Was between this and an Aggressor but as I've done a few of them, I decided to build something with a more challenging finish. Even tho' I mapped-out the paint scheme, now that the masking is off I don't like the way the red-orange stops at the bottom of the fin. I'll extend it down over that ridge until it meets the fuselage and then back over the boom to the ECM housing at the very back.

Glad you like it and thanks for all the positive comments - never taken for granted.

Stay tuned.

If that's the chase plane, the question is..... what is it chasing?
