Wanting to buy from Hannants...

But, I'm a Yank. So, the shipping for the item I want will be painfully expensive. Only other option is to buy from e(vil)Bay (Hong Kong) and wait, and wait, and wait some more, til I get it... Advice appreciated!

I find that if I buy more from Hannants (ie make it a bigger order) then the shipping doesn't seem so bad. 
Another option is when a friend is coming out to visit I send stuff to them in theUK and then they bring it with them.  In other words I find myself a kit mule...

What's the US dollar like against the pound?  Our dollar is abysmal ATM.

What is the kit in question?  It might be cheaper for one of us to buy it locally and post it privately.

I live in Northern Alberta, Canada. For me, Hannants is faster and the shipping cheaper than Squadron in Texas. Also, they usually have what you're looking for, while Squadron always seems to be out of stock. Hannants is my first go-to now.
