T-80 AEV PDRV Republican Guard.

The Assault Engineer Vehicle was a specialist adaptation of the T-80 Main Battle Tank used exclusively by the Combat Engineers of the PDRV Republican Guard.
It's purpose was to assault and breach fortified defensive positions such as the Trumble Line along the PDRV/Great Eastern Australia border and the Hanson Line further North.

T-80's were retrofitted to AEV specs by Pask Heavy Engineering.  This work involved replacing the main gun, additional armour and upgraded NBC protections.
The replacement gun was a breech loading 280mm mortar.  Capable of firing a wide range of munitions including white phosphorus, anti personnel air burst, rocket boosted penetration and nuclear demolition charges.
