Ah yes, I was assuming they didn't do any design work after diner, but ???  ;) ;D

I was thinking along the lines of Their Lordships deciding just which designs to build.

Of course, one must so wonder exactly what the Exchequer bean counters were smoking when they were saying "We want the same design...but cheaper!"

They say just that ALL the time, even now!  :banghead:

They have NO ideas at all about engineering, not a thing. :(
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
