Well here goes...........

First the compulsory box pics, and I found I have an AMT B-52G kit as well as a Monogram B-52D, bags of scope there now.  :thumbsup:



The SEVERELY knackered Monogram box, but the plastic is in good shape




The AMT box, but it's a lot newer of course.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Interesting subject,  with all those leftover engines no  large transport/cargo  aircraft will be safe  :banghead:

I'm trying to find a space somewhere big enough to build it just now.  :wub:

Stack the PR19's on wingtip rather than on their undercarriage, that should clear up a bit of space  :thumbsup:

This is gonna be good! The Monogram is a great kit. Highly recommend a spray paint primer and spray paint silver and aluminum if you're going for a natural metal finish. Lots of aircraft to cover!

Luckily not quite as much as it would be if I was going to do it OOB.

I haven't thought of a scheme yet, but those HUGE yellow '2's on the fin for the Barksdale based birds look attractive.....  ;D

They would, but who makes them in 1/72 scale?

And they'd be a tad out of period for my backstory.

Unless you used something in 1/48 scale for the engines,  either DB or Flightpath do the 1/72 CFM resin engines  :banghead:
