Blobak was part of my inspiration for this build.
I would have copied the layout but Cadillac/Oldsmobile transaxles are like hens teeth in scale.  Monogram put two in the Hurst Hairy Olds but they are very crude and lacking in detail.
JoHan, AMT & MPC produced Oldsmobile Toronados but they are very rare and their asking prices are through the roof.  JoHan may also have kitted Cadillac Eldorados.

What I do have though is a number of resin 1/25 ZF transaxles.  With these I can build mid engined versions of vehicles that were never intended to have that layout.
I am thinking I may try it first with another  El Camino.

Strewth, I've never heard of the Blobak, but what an AMAZING vehicle! 

I love the way he uses a 253 cu ins V8 as a starter for the big motor in the back.
