I hav3 bought  some aftermarket  decals for my RAF builds,  and  the roundels have  separate  red bits. I have  never  used decals  like  this and  don't  want to  mess them up, is there a right  way to do them please.  Getting the  red part dead  centre is  going to be a challenge on its own,  that I can see.
Cheers

It's much easier than you'd think Chris.

Make sure the blue and white bit is dry first, that's the important bit.

Your eye can see the slightest offset when placing the red dot in the centre, and you can just fiddle it about, I use a cocktail stick, until it looks right, dab it with a sift cloth, and you're done.

Don't dab it TOO hard or you'll find it's moved, just light enough to absorb the surplus water.

Cheers for the  vote of  confidence  Kit ;)
I am not too good with decals  due to my fingers  being the  way they are,  but  I will  just have to  take my time with them.

Kit's absolutely right Chris. They are far easier than they look and I have appalling eyesight which includes a depth perception problem, so if I can get them nice and neat

Cheers Chris,
Thankfully they are not  tiny so hopefully I won't  stick them  to something other than the  plane. It took me  a few attempts to get the decals reasonably right on my Avro Archer.

Chris.

I find using a tooth-pick or something like that (a sharpened old paint brush handle) works much better than my finger ----   ;D

I have  plenty of  paint brushes that  are of no use other than doing that with, so I  will sharpen a few up.

Actually Chris an old relatively small point paintbrush can be a good tool to use when manipulating the centre spot. Sometimes, only sometimes, a sharp toothpick can tear some modern transfers which can be remarkably thin.

Thankyou for the tip Chris,  I  can unfortunately get a bit heavy  handed  without  knowing it so something  blunt would be better in my hands.
