It seems there is/was a Planet 1/72 model of the Blohm und Voss P.192:

Maybe using it as a basis for the Whirlpool could have eased the transformation, no? ;)

Without building the Planet model, I can draw the Whirlwind/P.192 mix (now that my Corel Draw issue is temporarily solved, to be confirmed), and first I added PR19_Kit contrarotative way: <_<

PR19_Kit

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks!
The model featured in this topic (finished aspect on page 5) was the Whirlpool prototype, as plastic scale model, congratulations again.
For further dreaming as drawings, I continue on my CGI topic: https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=20326.5025
Thanks again for the inspiration!
