Maybe next year.  I get every second Monday off so if the dates fit I could drive over Friday afternoon and back Monday morning.

I really gotta pull my finger out! SWMBO has managed to limit my time on modelling over the last few days. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

We won't ask how she did that, but the female of the species can be quite ingenious at times  ;)

BTW. I love the way your countdown is half days  ;D

It was still all Imperial when I was growing up, so that's the way my brain works  ;D Interestingly our Government stopped trying to "force" metrication on us quite soon after we'd allegedly changed. They realised it was easier to just go with both systems and Imperial would eventually die out. Mind you it could of been that someone in the Ministry of Transport worked out how much it would cost to change all the road signs

There was a period in Ireland when the distances were in miles and the speed limits in kph.

I got stopped by a Garda in the south of the country one morning, and he said 'I don't know the actual speed you were doing sor, I don't understand these metric things just yet, but I'm sure you were going too fast. So just slow down a bit alright?'  ;D
