Can I have the Spiteful and Attacker please?  BTW, which release is the former - the original in white or the second with the white metal?

IPMS Newsletter dropped through the letter box yesterday.

Confirmed all the set up details. Friday is 15:00 for the set up crew. Should just about get there by then.

Got my car park pass for set up a few days ago, I get in under the auspices of the South Atlantic SIG.

When do you get your Car ?  ;D

When it arrives to pick me up!

Kitbasher! Can I relieve you of the Airfix Banshee please?

Also if anyone has a spare set of main undercarriage legs from the old Airfix 1/72 Lancaster kit I will happily relieve you of them at SMW2019.

I've got a cold atm, started last Thursday so should be feeling better just in time but for now, pffft  :banghead:

Nick

Somebody should bring a box of tissues for the stand!
Stroopwafels!
Drinking glasses, drinks, snacks, crisps.

What am I after at the show?

Micro Brushes - these are great for painting the tiny little parts on 1/144 aircraft.
Some more 1946 paper tanks to go with my pair. Modelcollect. One of those walking Spider tanks if they are on sale anywhere.

The Wooksta!

I'm bringing a decent rum this year as I rarely supply any drink - Don Papa 7 year old spiced.  Very nice it is too.

I've managed to almost get rid of my cold now too, just the odd sneeze now and then. And it's a while to go yet.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Do you mean those horrible brushes that are marketed as such, or reasonable "000" or even "0000" brushes Nick ? Talk to you at the show.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

These type of things are what I'm thinking of - https://www.modellingtools.co.uk/pack-of-10-fine-microbrushes--yellow-12667-p.asp
And he is probably where I'll buy them from.

You can persuade me otherwise on Friday!

NARSES2

They certainly have their uses Nick, but painting is not one of them in my view. Especially on 1/144.

Talk to you at the weekend, I want to get some brushes from ABC Brushes anyway, so we can compare notes

Well ready as I'll ever be I suppose. Just got to look forward to the approx 6 hour trip tomorrow now  :-\

1 bus, 1 tube, 3 trains and a couple of walks. All good fun.

Catch up with people over the weekend. At least I'm looking forward to that bit  ;D
