EasyJet Concord

When in 1999 the Supersonic Airbus A-900 airliner started getting into airline service a lot of airlines put their Concords on the market and switched to the more economic A-900. This meant that the Concords were relatively cheap.

The EasyJet company bought 12 of them in a bid to open a low fare connection between London and New York. EasyJet operated the Concord for 5 years but the operating cost of the aircraft proved too high to make the venture profitable. In 2005 the last EasyJet Concord flight was made.

You're right, it is an insult.

Quality work though.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

And to top it off, they called it Concord, instead of Concorde.

I'm just wondering where Stavros was flying his customers to in them ? He could probably have got the finances to work as well

Really nice work Tom
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

low-cost Concorde seems so contradictory and that makes us smile, thanks!

In the US it could be Spirit Airlines or Frontier.

There was a guy at the St Ives show today who had models of Concordes in almost all possible variants and schemes, I including an Air France one done in the 'Pepsi' scheme, which only lasted a month or two, and very good they looked. A most impressive aeroplane, no matter how much it cost!

No conspiracy, lots of people take pictures at model show and post them on the internet.    ;D ;D

Meet anyone named Trevor recently?

I'd give a link but the group is private. It's the "What if Modellers" group. Well, I'll give the link anyway:
