Amiot 143 Assembly Ship?

Got the Heller one in the stash, and was thinking about doing it as a sightseeing aircraft, as that big area down below with the picture windows would provide quite a view. But then I had another idea - assembly ship. I know the RAF didn't use such a system, as most missions were conducted at night, but this is, after all, the whiff world.

If Wikipedia is to be believed, the maximum speed is greater than both the Whitley and Stirling so there wouldn't be a problem with either of them trying to stay slow. So if a few managed to escape France and get to Britain, they were pressed into service as assembly ships. They retained the French insignia, but with a wild paint scheme to aid in recognition.

Possible?

My mind is already boggling!

What a great idea.

Using a Goodyear Blimp style lightboard, or just lights in the windows?  ;D

Sounds like a neat idea Ratty

Of course you could turn it into a Fighter Control aircraft ? During the 30's both the French and Italian airforce's considered the idea of using a flying fighter control aircraft and some possible designs were put forward. There's certainly enough room on the Amiot for a couple of controllers and their equipment. Maybe even a map table with a couple of plotters ?  ;)

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Oh yeah, I saw that B=25 a few  times, but it was WAY dirtier than that model!

Two new ideas:

1) Medevac, all white with big red crosses.

2) Maritime patrol. Torpedoes or depth charges? Both?

And something civilian?
Like a flying brothel, for example? There are some Noch figure sets very appropriate...

Detachable cargo pods ala the XC-120.
