The London Plastic Model Show is on the 8th December. Same venue as last year (I think)- Haverstock School", Chalk Farm

Shall be popping along for a couple of hours. If it is the same venue then there was a decent pub on the corner

Will probably have to pass, may be travelling afar that day for work the following week.

Well I'll be there assuming trains are running as I want a word with the Guideline Productions people.

Trains are running, so I'll be there. Only for a couple of hours as it's a small show, but there are a couple of things I'm after plus I want to introduce myself to the Elstree show organisers.

Just in case anyone else is going I'll be getting there about 10:00 when it opens.

Definitiely not going, sadly.  Funeral in Telford Saturday, not back until Sunday afternoon.  Have a good one and look forward to hearing more of it.

Sorry to hear that mate and the reason for it.

I'll miss the Southern Expo if it does close down.

Way back when, when I was doing SERIOUS airliner modelling, I sorted my work trips so I was in Essex on the preceding Friday so I could get there on expenses.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

I managed to do that for one SMW during my final years at I.S.S.B.  I was playing escort to a "steel making for non engineering graduates" course  trip to Ironbridge  ;)

I managed to put this in the wrong place originally  :banghead:

Went along yesterday for a couple of hours and had a decent time. Caught up with Nick  and we had an interesting chat with the guys on the 1/144 SIG stand. They had some terrific stuff.

Also had words with the editor of SAM, which was better than writing a "dear sir" letter/e-mail. Introduced myself to the guys running next years Elstree show, so faces are now known .

Also saw a small diorama in the competition that made me laugh out loud. Someone had done a small dio' of Berlin 1946 - K6 Ball Tank and counter measures" which was basically one of those Spherical tanks moving down a street and hiding behind a wall were two infantrymen, one of whom was holding what can best be described as a giant table tennis bat  ;D

Nick may have taken a photo of it ?

Guards armoured division Anti Tank personnel would no doubt have had a massive cricket bat available: and does  anyone remember a comic character called The Wolf of Kabul, and his servant Chung, who worshipped the fearsome "Clikki-ba"?
"If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you....."
It  means that you read  the instruction sheet

I certainly do remember Chung.  ;D Those were the days.

I now have visions of the Guards Depot at Caterham (not far from me) and the huge training nets they'd need. You can just imagine the instructor "today gentlemen we will be practising our off drives"  ;)

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Drat missed that as when I went past judges were standing in front.
