This came as a resin chunk. All I did was paint it. 95% brush paint by hand. The other was spray primer and I masked in only two spots for the green lower sections. This was really fun!! It fits into the 1/144 world I'm building that has lots of civilians using military wares in various non-conventional ways and of course we need support equipment!

I made some pictures with some of the "Fighter-Liners" I've made in the background and of course we have the Civilian Gunship that does the avalanche mitigation. We also have the ground crews' favorite pickup, the lil VW bug-van-truck!

I can't express how much fun this has wound up being fitting all this together and making a "universe" for my stuff.

I think it may have better ground clearance than the Aliens ATV... ;D

I can't believe how small it is.  Fantastic job painting it.

Thanks, y'all!!

The Bug Van wasn't my doing, but it sure is nice!! It was a bought vehicle made by Oxford in N gauge for train modeling. It fits well with all my 1/144 stuff it's great for pictures! Now I just need to work on some PEOPLE. I have a set of 1/144 civilian airlines-reated people but I've been too afraid to touch them. Painting them is going to be an ordeal but I'm about ready to give it a go.

I'd like to make some buildings of some sort, too. Hangar maybe.... tower, a couple terminals and some sky bridge type thingies or something. Eventually I can maybe make whole airport set ups and stuff with vehicle and little people everywhere. It'll be awesome. I can paint up my outside metal table to look like runway/apron or something, too. It's the only place big enough to set up all this junk. But... I could paint it up and clear the hell out of it and it should be fine out in the weather.   ;D  Future plans......

Some years ago I built a small terminal for my local model club's displays, many of whom are airliner nuts, with 2-3 jetways and even an internal railway track to the fictitious 'Main Terminal'. I'll look it out and post some pics, it's just some styrene sheet cut and glued, with some railroad bits hung on the back.

Dadswell Bridge (my display/photo base) is half an internal door (one of the cheap hollow ones) trimmed up with drawer pulls for lifting handles.

Your set up is good, I was thinking of it yesterday when I made my post. I'm going to steal some elements from it.  ;D   Door shape is perfect being rectangular.

Brad, I think I can see the box that has the terminal model inside it, but I can't get to it right now. :banghead:

It's behind a veritable wall of unfinished projects, ,but I'll see if I can dig my way in there over the next few days.

WILCO.   Steal designs...  ;D  Hell, it's all I can do. If left to my own devices no telling what would happen. I'm not ashamed to steal things in this manner. We all learn from each other and I need examples to help me along.
