- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Do they all use the same basic moulds ? (serious question)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Congratulations for this bunch of 5 cute ones
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

You are correct. I have built a couple of egg planes - no detailed cockpit - no fancy stuff - very relaxing. However, I heard many "serious" modellers casting ill comments at egg planes at the last comp.

Similar basic construction but unique mould for each one.
Earlier versions do not have pilot figures and the basic versions do not contain the anime girl pictured in the box art.

If "serious" modellers dislike them then I must try and enter some into the "serious" models categories at the next Model Expo (whenever that is).

Only one turnin' to seven burnin'? I'm surprised! :o

They are cute, though. ;D

And so-called "serious" modellers need to get their heads out of their nether regions, and grow a sense of humour! :banghead:

I have found that those who consider themselves "serious" modellers generally lack a sense of humour.  It's probly the most important requisite for happy modelling IMO.

I have an Hasegawa Egg Jug in the stash but i'm not that taken with most of the piston engined Eggplanes.
Hasegawa do a P-40 which isn't bad and Tiger Models do a Spitfire and a Corsair which I like.  Tiger Models Egg Planes are generally better looking than Hasegawas as they are less eggy and more caricature.

Cheers mate.

So are you saying that some boxings come with the anime girl ? One could be tempted  (Mind you I don't really know what anime means. I have a vague idea, but that's about it)

The Egg Shuttle comes with an androgynous asteroid (androgynous because he/she is hidden inside the suit, but is quite podgy) who's on the end of a spiral wire to connect him/her to the Shuttle Cargo Bay.

I've had one part built for a decade or so...............  :banghead:

Thanks for your encouragement. I have built a He177 and a Lancaster. I want a Me 262 and a B17 next.

Cheers everyone

An androgynous ASTEROID ?? ???  .......Well I guess Ceres and Vesta are females, and Pallas is male , but just how do you 'sex' an Asteroid ? ;D

Some special edition sets have anime figures but I have yet to get my hands on one of these.  I am not sure if they are in scale with the pilot figures or are taller.  They cost more (remember this is Hasegawa).
The Hasegawa Phantom II comes with the Spook figure you see standing next to it in the group pics.

I wish i'd bought the Shuttle and Jumbo Jet twinset when I had the chance.  It would look good painted in Drax colours.

Ah, yes.  :banghead:

That's what comes of reading 'end of the world' news items about asteroids passing the Earth inside the Moon's orbit just before posting on here, sorry.
