Sheggyang SJ-15 Flying Narwhal - Republic of Australia Navy Fleet Egg Arm.

RAN FEA J-15 - 1 by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr

Developed for the RAN FEA by zeggrat industries the Flying Narwhal is a sub-surface strike version of the Sheggyang J-15 Flying Shark.

The Narwhal's extended nose contains sophisticated eleggtronics which can sniff out submarines and underwater drones.

The Model.
Two cheap Chinese knock offs of Hasegawa J-15 Egg Plane,
First one was missing the clear parts and the upper half of the body was short shot around the nose.  The second reacted badly to the brake fluid I used to strip it when I screwed up the paint - they are not moulded in "normal" styrene but in something brittle which brake fluid softens.
I used the canopy from No.2 with the rest of No.1 and grafted on a new nose made from the missile from the Airfix Stratos IV.  Front undercarriage is extended for increased angle of attack carrier launches.  I also misplaced one of the original nose wheels and replaced them both with a pair from my parts box.
I had already used the pilot from No.1 elsewhere but managed to reduce the pilot from No.2 as he hadn't been too badly ravaged by the brake fluid.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Magic stuff Fred.  That Stratos nose REALLY suits it.  ;D

Look's like it's just about to lay an egg given that hump behind the canopy  ;)

Looks good Fred
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Flyer

What is the orange winged prop job behind it in the pics btw? A nosewheel'd Chipmunk?

I did not know this Shegyang J-15 and I asked more information to Google. I have found that it is presented as a Chinese copy of the Sukhoi Su-33 Flanker (derivative of Su-27).
Now I am ready to imagine a F-16 egg inspired by this J-15 egg, thanks! ;D

Hahahaha  these are brilliant Fred mate
Now if the RAAF did use these..storage wouldnt be a problem

Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Thanks folks.

BradF - It is indeed a tricycled Chipmunk.  It was my One Week GB entry in 2017.

Chippie looks great! I had missed that one.

Especially in those colours I can see that in RAAF service instead of the CT-4.

Yes, I know the true F-16 egg model of Hasegawa, that was not my subject.
I just tried to add another F-16-egg (as profile drawing) inspired by the J-15-egg. And I made it:

Thanks to zenrat's model of what-if version of Shegyang J-15 eggplane (see https://www.whatifmodellers.com/index.php?topic=47077.60 ), I have been inspired to draw such a F-16 egg: <_<

To compare the profile drawings, here is the Hasegawa model one, very different:

That trike Chippy looks REALLY good Fred, I'm amazed they didn't do that for real considering that many service aircraft had trike gear by then.
