As well as building aircraft during WWII , the blackburn company was also involved in preparing  and repairing Lend-Lease aircraft for the Royal Navy . Many Vought Corsairs passed through their hands and as some of these came back to the company for servicing and repair , it was decided to see what improvements could be made.
The Corsair VI was the culmination of this work , modifications included the replacement of the original American engine with the Bristol Centaurus and a modified upper fuselage to improve the view for deck-landing ,with a canopy similar to that of the Firebrand , then under developement . Armament was upgraded to four 20mm cannon
Many of these successful conversions served with the British Pacific Fleet during the final assault on Japan in the last year of the war.

Model is 1/48 and based on a Tamiya Corsair with Sea Fury engine ,canopy and upper decking.

Most definitely an aircraft I'd want on my side in any scuffle!  I like it a lot!!

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Seriously, just an hour ago I was contemplating an F2G with a Centaurus up front. Beautiful work!

An awesome, and very convincing aeroplane.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model
