I've got it!

Bulleid Battle of Britain class loco - the two squadrons not named on any loco in this class are 804 and 808 Squadrons of the Fleet Air Arm.

All you need is somebody to print a set of nameplates and squadron badges to go on the sides!

The ideal time for this build would be next July but I want to start it now!  ;D

QuoteRAF actually came into possession of a batch of SBC Helldivers (after they wouldn't fit on the French ships and were left in Canada, meanwhile France surrendered). Since there was no real use for them, what if FAA gets them instead and converts them to turret fighters? For improved performance and to maintain centre of gravity, replace the Cyclone with Twin Cyclone from a Boston...

The five SBC-4 weren't sent to the UK until August 1940, the massive rebuild you suggest
would take a very long time to realize as it would require some serious engineering effort
involving structural and systems redesign.

Plus it really wasn't a very large aircraft, especially when compared to the turret fighters.
