Aeronavale experts needed!

I'm looking for roundels for the wartime Aeronavale, and I've seen some with the anchor on the roundels and some without. I'm wondering when they were added, or whether some had them and some didn't.

EDIT: This isn't critical, it just affects how much equine excrement might be needed for the back story.

This shows standard roundels with the anchor on the tail, except for the Loire 130
which matches photos, and then there are photos of Late 298 with regular roundel,
regular roundel only on fuselage with anchor roundels on wing that don't look like
the anchor roundels on other aircraft, anchor roundels in all places again not quite
the same as other aircraft, etc. etc.

The only constant is the fouled anchor on the vertical tail.

The "Wartime Aeronavale" only existed until Germany occupied France. Those markings above were standard until then (note the anchor on the rudder and the tricolore on the stabilizer rudders, too!), the roundels with an additional anchor were introduced after WWII.

Thanks guys, that's about what I thought. Now I either have to try to get an anchor on the rudder stripes on my Amiot 143, come up with a back story to explain why there aren't anchors on them, or go with an alternative build idea. "Obsolescent Amiot 143s were transferred to the Aeronavale and hastily painted in maritime colours, national marking were not repainted..." (I've used that sort of logic/lie before)

It's not that cut and dried as photos exist of Aeronavale aircraft pre-war, and pre-occupation, Vichy,
with anchors on the roundels, however they don't look like the standardized post-war version.

I have a couple of small transfers where the anchor has been superimposed on the white of the national flag that you are welcome to ?

I've loads of roundels with anchors as well if you'd like. Some of which have a thin yellow outline to the roundel as per RAF WWII roundels.

Thanks Chris. I've got a sheet of Aeronavale roundels in various styles, and it looks like I can get away without the ones with anchors. Plus these are quite large, 1 and 1/16th inches in diameter. The other information indicates that the only one that seems consistent is the fin flash with anchor. What I may be able to do is copy the kit sheet and superimpose an anchor on it, if I can find an appropriate one, and then print my own decals. Or just print the anchor and lay it over top.

Thanks for the offer though. Is yours the sheet made by Carpena? I find them rather thick and stiff, and often difficult to set without a lot of softener.

I don't know in all honesty Ratty as they were in the "spares" box and would have been from unused options in kits, probably SH/MPM or that family I would have thought ?

Thanks JCF! Researching some of those aircraft as models helped me find out which colours I need to use.

Found anchor pictures on-line that I can use to make decals with, but none of the anchors with the rope, or chain, or whatever it is, winding around it, that are good enough to use. Just have to try to modify it myself.
