Okay, some more work at my usual pace; sloooooow...

Navigator's table added, it's the one of the main landing gear doors from the old Frog Supermarine Attacker. Bit of clear sprue above for the light, it will be painted black eventually;

Donor kit for the control columns

The main landing gear doors used if modeled 'wheels up'

Bit of drilling and cutting...

Looking pretty rough, but they'll do once it's closed up. The plastic already broke up a bit and caused some foul language, not easy cutting stuff this small without incurring sideways stresses.

After (perhaps) some more smoothing out, the rougher of the two will be the copilot's column; curiously, he was sitting below the cockpit, on the lower level, so his wheel is upside-down.

The 143 comes from the same school of aerodynamics as the HP Heyford.

That's the school that says 'It's a bomber, so it's got to look BIG! Make it taller!'  ;D

The Short Stirling came from similar roots..............  ;)
Come on, Kit.  That thing makes the Heyford look like the Mosquito.

Bit more work on the interior, this is probably as far as I will go. Floors are bare metal, scuffied and blotchy with a Sharpie marker. None of the seats match, but it's French, each occupant probably had their own sense of style and comfort. Some seat belts are tape, others are foil, but even though there are plenty of windows they're not very clear, so not a lot of detail will be visible. I got the ladder from the old Airfix B-25, figured there had to be some way of getting between upper and lower decks. Didn't bother with cutting out a hatch since it won't be seen anyway, Or maybe it was closed.

Sorry, not getting images.

Google seem to be making it harder to link images &, from a brief glance through their new policies, this may be an intentional act to avoid (further) copyright issues.

Strange, I'm getting them here on my desktop, but earlier I couldn't get them on my phone.

The same for me, with 2 different navigators: Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge... :-\
EDIT: quoting your post to see what may happen, it seems your new links are very very long (7 ou 8 lines of letters/numbers, each, compared to 2 or 3 lines when it was working good previously), maybe this is too much for the what-if tool to take it into account.

Corrected. I uploaded the pictures to facebook and copied the URLs here, so that means they should be visible for a while until facebook weirdly screws the links and I have to repost the new ones. Don't know why they do that.  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Awesome work!

Puts me in mind of the recent thread about cockpits on the UNDERside of the aircraft!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

NARSES2

Those seats in your build look far more comfortable than those provided for the actual crew members (bar the pilot) in the real thing  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Why do I do this to myself? The fit is not great. Terrible in fact. I think it would have been much better if Heller had made the fuselage as a group of sub-assemblies instead of just port and starboard. But the main bits are now together, and more painting, sanding, swearing, is about to commence.

It's good to see it coming together.

Bigger than I expected.
